Tennis star and daughter appear in commercial for new pants style diapers

Tennis star and mom Serena Williams is the new celbrity spokesperson for Procter & Gamble Pampers diapers. Williams, and her commercial starring tennis, 19-month-old daughter, Olympia, appear in a new commercial for Cruisers 350 FIT diapers, wehre she encourages other moms to embrace the wild side of their babies or toddlers with help from the new Pampers product.
“Pampers believes every child was born to be wild,” says Andre Schulten, P&G’s general manager for the Baby Care division’s North America market. “We want to help parents embrace and celebrate their curious, active babies’ wild moves without hesitation – and we couldn’t think of a more perfect parent to help us on this mission than Serena Williams.”
The 37-second spot opens with Williams asking whether anyone else is the parent of a wild child. When Olympia started moving, Williams says, life changed completely,
Williams, 37, keeps on the move herself as a baseline player who has won 23 Grand Slam singles titles in women’s tennis and 14 Grand Slam doubles titles with her sister Venus. She has won a total of 39 majors when factoring in mixed doubles. Williams was about eight weeks pregnant with Olympia when she won the Australian Open in 2017.
P&G said a recent study for Pampers indicated 65% of parents believe their child is more active than a professional athlete. About 60% have felt the need to apologize for a child doing something in public, such as climbing on something, and 84% of parents wish their children could explore the world more freely without being judged. Launched last month, PampersCruisers 360 FIT feature a comfortable all-around stretchy waistband that adapts to every wild move a baby makes – it’s just like they’re wearing “yoga pants.” These no-tape, pull-on diaper pants are already a favorite of parents of active babies around the world, and now U.S. parents can try the diaper they never even knew they needed, but will quickly discover they can’t live without. In addition to a stretchywaistband, Pampers Cruisers 360 FIT are super soft, feature air dry channles and dual leak-guard barriers and are safe for baby’ skin. They are available nationwide in sizes three to six.
